I have both my cars and home with Tim and the service has been excellent. He is a great agent. He has responded to every question and concern I have had in a timely manner. When I totalled my car last year he was very helpful with guiding me through the claim. This past spring, my home was hit by high winds and the damage to my roof was severe enough it all needed to be replaced. Tim, once again, guided me through the claims process and my roof is now completely done without a dime coming out of my pocket. I live over two hours from Tim and have never met him but I can assure you Tim is a class act and so is Horace Mann Insurance.
I don't know what Tim Marczak, the agent here, is drinking but stay away from this guy. He sold me a policy for my car that never went into effect and I was driving around for two months without insurance until I contacted Horace Mann headquarters to find out why I wasn't getting any info or contact from this guy. He called me up and said he wanted more money and that headquarters didn't issue him any documentation but a telephone agent emailed me the Declarations Page that went into effect two months after he signed me. Untrustworthy and messed up is this guy.
